Amy Rainey is …
- a student in the Master of Communication in Digital Media program at the University of Washington. Her graduate coursework has included social media strategy, interaction design, media law, multimedia storytelling and mobile marketing.
- an online journalist and multimedia storyteller. A graduate of the Missouri School of Journalism, Amy has a variety of experience in online, newspaper, magazine and radio journalism. She was a reporter and web producer for The Charlotte Observer for two years and has also written for Charlotte Magazine, The Associated Press, Chicago magazine and The Chicago Reporter. She also interned as a producer at Seattle’s NPR station, KUOW Public Radio. Additionally, Amy has produced videos, audio slideshows and interactive maps.
- a digital and social media strategist. In addition to studying social media strategy in the MCDM program, Amy has gained a variety of experience managing social media and online communities for clients.
- a communicator. Amy has experience writing for blogs, creating instructional materials and producing website copy, as well as copy editing client materials.
Amy is also a Chicago native, a social media addict, a photographer, a Rock Band enthusiast and a dedicated aunt.
